Court Lines and Hitting Wall Now at Platte River Elementary School in Honor

September 16, 2015 10:33 AM

Barb Skurdall from Beulah, MI is showing us the 60’ tennis court and hitting wall with targets at Platte River Elementary School in Honor, MI.  Over the past 3 years, Barb has been successfully advocating to get tennis into Benzie County schools PE curriculum and fix up courts in the county. Great job Barb!

The USTA is running a limited-time promotion that makes it easier for teachers and organizers to offer tennis at schools.  The USTA is offering 100% funding to add 36’ and 60’ playing lines to school tennis courts, playgrounds, blacktops and gymnasiums.  Visit www.usta.com/linegrants for details!

If you have a need for a similar project at your school please see contact George Lowe at George@midwest.usta.com. You can also check out the Midwest Grant Website at http://www.midwest.usta.com/grants/.
