We are working out details for possible trainings
For referees and also for collegiate (ITA) trainings
for 2012. For more information on this contact

You must take the Official test online and bring to class a copy of the proof you receive via email.

Link to the test site on USTA

You must take the Officials test before coming to the training.
You need to wait until the 2012 tests are posted online.
If this is the first time you have applied to be an officials you take the provisional test
After taking the provisional test go back and take the USTA test. See below.

If you have taken an officials class previously you take the USTA test. You must print out your test results which are sent to you via email and bring this proof of  test results to class. First year officials bring proof of both the provisional and the USTA test results.

Heads Up …. Use the 2012 Friend at Court for the Provisional test
Use the 2011 Friend at Court for the USTA test.
Just a suggestion – it is much easier to print out the test and take it and then go online and officially take the test. It went a lot smoother for me when I did it this way.

To become a certified umpire, individuals must attend an annual training course and pass an annual written test appropriate to the type of officiating you plan to pursue. To be a USTA Official you must be a USTA member, pass the appropriate test each year, pass the  criminal back ground check each time you are asked to do so , and attend the yearly training session, sign up for a Nucula account, pass the vision test and send proof  each even year (2012). Officials are also asked to wear appropriate USTA Officials gear while officiating.

NMTA is always looking for new tennis officials!  This is a way to give back to your favorite sport and become a walking rule book!
